I’ve been working on an exciting new project for the last few months……My first book! It’s called Light on the Land and has 100 of my favorite and most popular images. I’ve done the design and layout myself with the help of Renee Creative from the Sunshine Coast. I’ve gone down the self-publishing route so that I have complete control over the whole process, which also means it’s being printed 100% in Australia. It’s going to print this week and should be ready for sale towards the end of next month. With the book so close I’ve decided to offer my customers, blog and facebook followers a special pre-release offer. If you order your copy of Light on the Land for $46.00 inc delivery to anywhere in Australia before the 15th of July, I’m going to include a 30cm x 22cm signed, unframed fine art print valued at $125.00 at no extra cost (five prints to choose from). Please follow the link below to my website to get your copy and choose your free print. Thanks in advance for your support.
Last week I did a pop up gallery at one of Brisbane’s newest riverside office towers. This is new ground for me, I’m used to having my own gallery and attending art fairs and markets but setting up for a short period with massive amounts of traffic was a great experience.
I was on my way up to Marions Lookout and couldn’t resist shooting this scene again.
I’ve had this image in my ‘working on’ folder for a while now and wasn’t quite happy with the color version, so I settled on the B&W. Marions Lookout, Cradle Mountain Tasmania.
I’m happy with my results from this years Epson International Pano Awards, I entered 4 images and they all got awards, I won 1 silver and 3 bronze for the following images.
This image was captured on the same evening as my previous post Lighthouse Point, Devonport, Tasmania.
Another image from Cradle Mountain, at the start of the Overland Track.
This image is from an earlier trip to Tasmania. We stayed around the area for a few days shooting. We had some really nice light for most of the trip, this sunset was probably one of the best.
Another one from Cradle Mountain, after a morning of mist and rain with the odd bit of good light I decided to to take a walk up the start of the overland track. I found these three large Pandanni Tree’s along the way. This one is a ten image stitch with the 5D Mk2 and a 50mm 1.4 lens.
Another from Cradle Mountain, I gave the startrails a go as well, but after about an hour the clouds rolled in.
