Bluff Knoll, Stirling Ranges

On our way back from Esperance we decided to visit the Stirling Ranges. This image almost didn’t happen as I was about 15 km’s away from this spot trying to capture another composition I had found. As the sun started to set the wind picked up making my original image not possible. So we jumped in the car and rushed to make it for this image before the good light finished.

Just stumbled upon your blog, Ben — some lovely images, especially this one! Particularly dig the cloud formations in it, but what an overall great looking landscape! Hope you’ve this one printed big 🙂

  6. Thats one of my favourite shots for sure the eagle does it for me. did you have to HDR it or did the colour creep across to the east ?.
Thanks for telling me about where you bought your D800e i pre ordered mine today stumbled across a sale Myer had 20% off all digital cameras. I got them to match a price of a local dealer then dropped the 20% from that ended up being $3200 crazy ay but the catch was that i would have to buy extended warranty for $250, still $3450 for a 800e best deal in OZ. Crazy ay not trying rubb it in just a good story hopefully i can do the camera justice like you do.
